Services we provide our clients with Technology Assessment services for both
new business opportunities and to enhance current ones. We are also
asked by our clients to render technical opinions concerning Intellectual
Property issues. Our evaluations have ranged from patent reviews to
forensic, infringement, and protection issues.
Regardless of what we are asked to assess, our focus is always on
providing needed information in easy to understand, layman’s terms so that
non-technical business people can use the information with confidence when
making business or legal decisions. We are not content with simply reporting on the
existing technology and its present condition; our clients need to know from
us what technological challenges they face, the path the technology is going
to follow, and ultimately how is the technology going to make money for
them or how they can protect their technology investment.
FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT
Our IP
assessment covers in-depth prior art evaluation, current art analysis, as
well as evaluation of potential barriers to competition. We are very
attentive to the fact that although a patent is issued, without "picket
fence" protection the patent might not be practical. We can, and have,
advised clients as to ways in which to develop these "picket fences" in
order to secure a more powerful IP position.
We are
also uniquely qualified for both forensic IP analysis as well as potential
IP development, as our chief analyst has personally been awarded numerous
patents. He has personally been involved in the patent process from
initial writing of provisional patents, to PCT and national phase
submissions all the way through successful prosecution and patent award.

Our technology assessment addresses the following six fundamental questions
that are at the core of any technology based investing decision.

How will my investment be used?
What are my risks/benefits in pursuing this investment?
